Magical writing: Sunday links

by Joanna on July 29, 2007

Back from my holiday and catching up with what’s hot and what’s what… oh and looking for a way to get back into my blogging groove… which means a bundle of quick links to some of the best writing on writing from the last fortnight.

  • Dawud Miracle offers up his best copywriting tip ever – to get out of your own way and trust your subconscious mind to find the right words
  • Copyblogger provides a follow up on the merits of brevity with some ‘how to’ suggestions on keeping to the point
  • Rosa Say reminds us of the value of commenting as both blog reader and writer
  • Over at Daily Writing Tips you can check your proofreading skills… how many mistakes can you spot in the text?
  • And last but far from least…check out this piece from Rosa at Joyful, Jubilant Learning on the power of writing.  We don’t need to be J K Rowling to create magic.  We don’t need to be wizards to create spellbinding words.

As Rosa says:

We all have magical powers.  We call those magical powers ‘writing.’
The magic is within the written word.
