I have to confess that I don't read out every blog post - I guess it's the nature of the medium - but I do for those that I want to take more care over, maybe because I'm saying something important or introducing a new idea. And it does make a difference. @ Lillie I don't think I could have a round-up on editing without including you! You help us to understand the science and art of editing in a most helpful way. I myself am a firm believer in the reading aloud and the plain english. I write like I talk...well maybe not as fast:) But the feel is the same...I am the Queen of the "..." My simplest editor is my beloved spell check. I would look like an idiot without it and it amazes me how many people don't use it. Great info Joanna.
