20 reasons to go to SobCon08

SobCon08, a biz school for bloggers, is taking place in Chicago at the start of May. I know I want to be there – and there are at least 20 reasons why.

It’s because I’d get to:

  1. meet Liz Strauss in person
  2. visit the US for the first time – I never wanted to until I started blogging, but I now feel so much more curious
  3. see Chicago
  4. try a much-talked-about Klondike bar
  5. make good use of the guide book to Chicago my son gave me for Christmas (how did he know?)
  6. spot some landmarks that I’d recognise from ER (one of my all time favourite TV shows)
  7. have an excuse to order some Moo cards
  8. see Robert Hruzek eating haggis (well he did promise)
  9. take part in Open Mic night without having to stay up till 2am
  10. meet some great blogging friends
  11. meet some of my fellow authors at Joyful Jubilant Learning
  12. meet some readers of Confident Writing
  13. listen to the man who teaches us how to craft killer headlines
  14. find out if Chris Brogan’s input will be in person, by blog, tweet, video or…?
  15. learn how to take my blog to the next level
  16. share what I learn with you here
  17. pass on tips and ideas to Business Blog Angel readers
  18. apply business techniques to my blogging
  19. see how it all connects: blogging lets us write with greater confidence after all…
  20. meet Liz Strauss in person (did I say that already?)

Let’s see if we can’t add some more goodies to this list: if I do make it will I get to see you there?
