It's because, basically, I don't like podcasts. I mean, in theory, I think they're great. I understand how handy it is to be able to download one to your MP3 player so you're not tied to the computer. Except, I simply cannot abide listening to things through headphones (and don't get me started on those uncomfortable earbuds), which means that, if I want to listen to a podcast, I HAVE to do it at my computer. Which means I can't do anything else, because who can write and listen at the same time? I like the idea of podcasts, but the reality? I'd rather just read a post.
