Just a quick note to say I’m back, both in Scotland, and online
The trip to Sardinia was great: here’s a photo of one of the beaches where we got to (and yes, it was warm enough to swim).
You can read more about the writing retreat from this write up by Alina Popescu – I’m not sure I can add to these words!

I also wanted to say thanks once again to the guest writers who’ve been holding the fort here when I was away, including during the brief spell when the blog went offline (and sorry to those of you who tried to visit when it was down).
There’s one more to come tomorrow, from Karen Swim.
I’ll be back blogging as normal – whatever that means… next week

It’s lovely to have you back! I would have loved to go to Sardinia with you. It’s been years since I’ve travelled properly.

Finally, you’re backed from Sardinia, Italy! How’s the trip, Joanna? Based on the photo, I can see that you’ll have many stories to tell us here, isn’t it? Can’t wait to hear it right away…

Hi Joanna! Your absence was deeply felt! The guest posts were spectacular but we all missed your comments and tweets. I have just read Alina’s write up and it sounds like the retreat was perfect. Looking forward to the days ahead and learning more about this magical time.

Joely Thank you! I haven’t travelled properly for a while either… it’s a great way to feed the soul and get the words flowing. I love it when they turn up unbid just because you’re sitting in a train or a pavement cafe
wilson yes finally I’m back;-) Stories to follow
–Deb thanks, and for helping out when I was away
It made it easier to switch off
Karen it’s strange you know, I missed the depth of interactions I normally have online, but at the same time was glad of the break. I’m also re-remembering how hard it is to get back into it again… like joining a party late. It’s good to know there are friends out there who want you just to jump back in again
J D yes, great scenery is always a great source of inspiration to me too. And it’s not bad getting the chance to swim in the Med either
Lillie thanks for the welcome, and everything you’ve done here. I see the comments section has been keeping you busy!
Welcome home Joanna. I imagine you’ve returned, your mind brimming with new ideas for posts. Right?

Hi Joanna! Thank you for linking to my post on the retreat! I’m so happy all got sorted out quickly with the website! I know it wasn’t easy to deal with it from Ca La Somara
The photo is amazing by the way! Can’t wait to download, review and upload mine and see the rest you and the others took!

Ooh just look at that beach… isn’t it fabulous when you show up and let treasure come to you… in a cafe, on a beach, or with like minded people? Bet it was just scrumptious.
Welcome back.

Davina yes, indeed, and maybe even some poetry too. I haven’t forgotten your challenge
Conor thanks
Alina yes, trying to talk to tech support from an agriturismo when I was so relaxed was a bit of a challenge
Thanks so much for what you’ve written about our week’s experience. You captured it so well.
Janice the treasure of like minded people was the best bit of all
