I found myself just this morning typing and backspacing as I struggled to find the words to express my thoughts "perfectly." Yet, I now see my time would have been better served by simply allowing myself to write without restrictions. Yes, I'm editing my novel but I can edit imperfectly and make progress rather than agonizing over one sentence and failing to move forward. Thank you for guiding the way and helping us to embrace our writing self - warts and all. Joanna, the poem is beautiful and the perfect complement to Christine’s article.
