Writing to be Treasure Conscious: Online Class starts September

To the dull mind nature is leaden. To the illumined mind the whole world burns and sparkles with light ~ Emerson

I’m delighted to announce a new online writing class, starting mid September.

The focus is on writing with a small w, finding ways to capture through words (and photography) some of the treasures of the everyday… and to discover some of the hidden gems in your words.

Details and how to sign up below:

Treasure Conscious

Learn to be more conscious and aware of the treasures of the everyday. A great way to be more grounded and mindful while you navigate the midlife.

What Does It Cost?

The price of the 8 week class is $20 / £12.50.

This is a 2010 introductory price while I test out the learning environment. In return I’ll be looking for feedback, ideas, suggestions and ways to make it even better yet in 2011 :-)

When Is It On?

The class runs from

Monday 13 September to Sunday 7 November 2010

What Do I Need to Start?

  • A willingness to pay attention to the world about you and to see the beauty and wonder in the everyday
  • An agreement to switch off the inner critic for a while, and to enjoy writing in different forms till you see what comes out
  • A willingness to experiment, explore and play
  • Journal work will include photography as well as writing, so yes, you will need a camera
  • Internet access. The class takes place on Ning, which is an online space for groups. An invitation to join and detailed instructions on how to get set up and started will be emailed out to you.

How Do I Sign Up?

The class is now fully booked, sorry!
